Our patented proprietary imaging system, LiSTAR Geo, is the workhorse behind this endeavor. It seamlessly integrates our high-resolution (60MP / 11K) 360-degree camera system, iSTAR Pulsar, with high-density LiDAR and a survey-grade Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, making street-level mapping efficient and precise.

Ensuring Data Quality and Privacy through Advanced Processing and Hosting

Following the geospatial data capture, the data is processed via NCTech’s proprietary image stitching and anonymization software, enhancing the integrity and usability of the imagery. Further, we host this data on our cloud-based (Amazon Website Services) VR.World platform, providing uninterrupted access to clients.

With our vast experience serving several Big Tech customers, we maintain stringent data privacy compliance procedures. We employ military-grade encryption on all hardware and anonymize or blur faces and license plates. The result? High-quality images at a 5-meter interval, devoid of digital artifacts, excessive shadows, radiometric and tonal balance issues, glare, extreme contrast, smearing, warping, distortion of features, ghosting, voids, and artificial colorations.

Our high-performance GPS/GNSS receiver delivers 5cm accuracy or better at one standard deviation (68% confidence level) in real time. The system also offers enhanced capabilities to function effectively in built-up areas with tree cover, where NCTech has achieved better than 10 cm positional accuracy.

Sophisticated Onboard Processing and Calibration for Accuracy

The LiSTAR Geo system incorporates an advanced onboard processing capability for all GNSS observables in an integrated navigation solution. This provision ensures perfect vehicle position, trajectory, and pose alignment, enabling precise imagery and georeferencing asset location. To ensure this level of accuracy, all sensors within the system are meticulously calibrated before operation, and this alignment is maintained throughout data processing tasks.

High-density LiDAR Sensor for Unrivaled Measurement Accuracies

Our system is distinguished by its use of a high-density LiDAR sensor (640,000 points/second). It offers measurement accuracies relative to the vehicle position reference frame specified to +/-1 cm accuracy (typical) at up to 120 meters from the vehicle, excluding areas of occlusion.
